Earlier in the month, he had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital due to respiratory issues. After discharge, he was recovering at home, and his family had previously denied rumors about his health worsening.
On Monday, news broke that an ambulance was spotted leaving Dharmendra’s residence in Juhu, Mumbai. Heavy security was put in place outside his home and at the Pawan Hans crematorium, as celebrities and family members started arriving for the last rites. The atmosphere was emotional, with fans and media gathering outside.
Dharmendra leaves behind a remarkable legacy. His career in Indian cinema lasted over six decades, with iconic movies like Sholay, Yaadon Ki Baarat, Phool Aur Patthar, and Mera Gaon Mera Desh. He was honored with the Padma Bhushan award and won several Filmfare Best Actor trophies. His family includes wives Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini, and six children—Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, Ahana Deol, Ajeeta and Vijeta.
